Wishing you a Happy 4th of July from a beautiful, sunny morning in Colorado!! Got big plans today? I hope you’re doing something fun!! We used to do a lot more when the kids were little.
Long pool days and barbeque with all of our friends and their families.
Dressing in matching outfits and joining the 100’s of others with their wagons and blankets, scouting the perfect place on a huge green to settle in for an amazing evening of music, popsicles, face painting, sparklers and fireworks.
I miss those days!
Now the kids are older, we no longer wear matching outfits and they want to be with their friends. So we will head over to our friends home to hang out and hopefully make it that late for the fireworks that we can see from their yard.
Things change.
But I still get festive with my front porch! I added some simple decor this year.
I made this adorable rag flag this week an it turned out so (or no-sew) cute! With a branch and some fabric I made this in two hours!
I took a simple, small chippy pitcher and added a few flags to it to adorn the table.
This adorable little basket I had was the perfect opportunity for a few more little flags. I took some florals I had and a left over strip of fabric from my flag to finish the look. I love it!
Where am I headed this week?
I am off to Seattle with my 17year old daughter.
Why?
We are building my mom’s deck! My daughter and I love to do projects together and you can follow along @aprilcolleen.
She is so excited for us to come visit. They live off Puget Sound surrounded by huge trees that have leaves bigger than my head and the weather is supposed to be absolutely beautiful. Thank goodness! Rain or shine I have a week to complete the project!
Sales this week:
Sherwin Williams 30% off Paints and Stains. If you aren’t doing a project right now, but plan to soon, you can buy your paint without color and then go back when you’re ready to do your project and have them add the color!
I got the cutest dresses on sale right now. Buy two get one free! I just picked up 6 for the summer!
I hope you have a beautiful holiday, friends!
