Good morning on this sunny, but chilly, Colorado morning!
Oh my gosh, the love on my cancer update post is just blowing me away! I have never felt more covered in prayer than now. Thank you, thank you! It has been a really long journey and I am tired. But, the Lord is so good and his provision has and will be enough. Even if we want more.
Just in case you missed it.
Every year I do a “Word of the Year” post but didn’t get to it this year. I was sick for a month (probably just my body telling me to slow down) so I missed the first of the year and to do it now seems a little silly since we are in the middle of February.
You can check out my past words below. How do you think I did with them?
No idea what happened to 2021, except I was dealing with my husband’s heart attack at the end of 2020 so I guess I didn’t do one. And I didn’t even realize it, ha!
So I will leave this right here. My word for 2023 is Quality.
Weird, I know. But it applies to so many things.
I want my life to have meaning. I want to have quality in my relationships, conversations, home, time, work, community… the list goes on and on. Is what you do sustained in quantity or quality? You may have a lot of friends, but are they quality friendships? You might do projects around the house, but are they of high quality? Or just thrown together. Is there quality to your conversations? Do you really listen to those around you?
Me? I am working on these things with intention. (That was a good one. Which year was that my word?)
In other news: Our daughter and her husband are still waiting for their house to be completed while they live with us and she is due with their first baby in just 4 weeks! I am getting ready to go into their home and build out the nursery and I can’t WAIT to do it and share it all with you! It is a blank slate and the wallpaper we chose is adorable! The tile in this photo is in the nursery bathroom. Isn’t it perfect?
I will also be updating you in real-time on the nursery in my stories so if you’re not following along on IG, you should be!
Is my closet done yet? Hahaha, nope! But the nursery is way more important, right? It brings me so much joy to do things for others instead of myself. Probably more joy for me than them. Can you relate?
I hope you have a great week ahead!
