Happy Saturday from a frigid morning in Colorado!
As I write this the sun is barely making its appearance for the day and it is currently 0 degrees with the windchill. My morning coffee is extra special today.
Each morning, as I sit in peace before anyone else in the house wakes up and the hustle and bustle of the day begins, I spend some time in prayer and always thank HIM for the things in my life – big and small. My home, my health, my family and pour prayer over all of my people and some I don’t even know but need prayer.
As Thanksgiving approaches this coming week, and we spend time with our families, what are YOU thankful for? Do you have some fun traditions? Are you traveling? (UGH!)
(Don’t miss my top gift guides below!! – more to come this week to prep for Black Friday.)
I always host Thanksgiving and every year our family always goes around the table at Thanksgiving and says what we are thankful for about the person on our right and the person on our left. Then of course we always play a game and eat pie, laughing and letting go of the weariness we can feel from the world every day.
I always feel so bad for Thanksgiving, like it is an old friend that isn’t invited to the party. It has become so easy just to skip over the holiday. The day after Halloween it seems like Christmas songs are on the radio and trees are suddenly glowing in our windows. But poor Thanksgiving gets the short end of the stick.
Every year I wait until the day after Thanksgiving to bring out all of my Christmas decor and set up our tree. But I am becoming more and more tempted every year to invite Christmas to sit at our table for Thanksgiving dinner.
What team are you on? Do you decorate before or after Thanksgiving?

OK, now let’s talk about the project that I have left you hanging on. The Master Closet!
I was doing so well and really pushing along and then my daughter and her husband and two dogs moved in with us while the home they are building is being completed. I love them being here and I have been spending time with them, hanging out, talking and watching Love is Blind with my daughters instead of working on the closet.
It has been hard to get back into a groove with the closet but I really am SO close to finishing. You can keep up with daily progress on my stories so you don’t miss a thing!
I spent a week in Carmel, CA with my friends to celebrate my bestie’s 50th birthday! It was SO fun!! And I love that town. The house we stayed in was like a fairy or Hobbit house and quite magical. We rode bikes to Pebble Beach and had lunch and rode all over the town along the ocean, discussing what we would do out there is we won the lottery. We ate and laughed and visited wineries. It was a truly amazing vacation. I haven’t had an actual vacation in 6 1/2 years!
My two most popular Gift Guides:
In case you missed it
- I shared how I make money whenever I shop which I thought you would want to be a part of with Black Friday coming up! Last year I made $120 cash back and got an actual check for buying things I was going to buy anyway. You don’t want to miss out on the opportunity!! No strings attached, no catch!
- This year we are celebrating 30 years of Broncos Cheerleaders. Each year only 20 women are selected to be on the team out of hundreds. We have a reunion with all the past team members every 5 years and we dance at halftime. It is SO fun! Being on that field just gives you a thrill unlike any other. Pure Joy! Wednesday night I went to rehearsal and learned the dance for this year’s performance and I forgot just how much I love it! If you follow along on IG stories, then you saw a snippet of the routine and, I have to say, we still got it! Want to see how my last reunion went?
While life can be hard sometimes, try to enjoy the little joys it brings to you. Life is full of joyful moments every single day. Happy Thanksgiving, friend!
