Good morning from another beautiful day in Colorado! How are YOU?!
It has been a really busy summer, but it is “over”. School has already begun here for us. Have your kiddos started school? It is nuts to me that summer is seemingly so short now. Growing up we always started the school year after Labor Day and ended just before Memorial Day.
Aren’t those pants so cute! We made them. They’re called “Senior Pants”. I will write a post on how we made hers, but if you want to see how we did it, I also shared a video with instructions.
My last baby of 4 began her last year of highschool. And my oldest turns 30 in a couple of months.
Yes, I have all the feelings.
I haven’t let myself actually process all the feelings because I have been so busy with projects. If you aren’t keeping up daily on @aprilcolleenblog, you should be! And I would love to see you over there.
I have been commissioned to do a bunch of build-outs for Vitality (formerly Balance Athletica) and have been insanely busy! We have a PopUp Shop here in Denver in September and are expecting 3,000-5,000 attendees. It is going to be SO fun!!
The latest? I built a HUGE 7′ 3D triangle for them on top of so many other things. Yes, it is 7 FEET! So, my closet reno and my garage completion have taken a back seat for a few weeks to finish up the builds.
How are your geometry skills? My recall of my Sophomore year, Geometry class with Mr. Trudgen in highschool has come into play for a triangle like that, ha! Let me just say, I hated Geometry. Not my thing. You?
I also bought a table saw and have been enjoying that! All these years I have been using my track saw – because I know it so well. But this is totally new and it scared me. I see all the things I will be able to do with it, so I am super excited to DIVE IN!
You better believe I have read all of the instructions and watched countless videos on this thing!
One YT video I watched said “this tool will kill you and don’t have it in your workshop” and another said “don’t fear this tool, respect it!”. I think I will go along with the second guy. Is there a tool that scares you?
I have SO many plans to update my workshop space. I don’t have a “workshop” (although I wish I did) so I plan to make some adjustments to the space I do have. And I will share it all on my blog so be sure to stay tuned!
Remember, if you have any questions on your next project or need some advice, I am just an email away!
Fall is just around the corner. Have a great week ahead and enjoy the little bits of summer we have left!
