What’s behind the name Thoughtfully Lovely? The answer is simple: I think we should be thoughtful in all we do and that makes us lovely. I love for this theme to be my focus no matter what I am doing. Whether it is in my home, doing a project, working out, shopping, cooking or hanging out with family and friends, this is the common thread that runs through it all. I want to inspire and be inspired to look at life through a different lens. There are many stressors in the everyday and life is hard, guys! But, perspective is everything.
I believe that we all can and should be thoughtful in all that we do. I know that sometimes we don’t feel like being that way but we rise above it anyway. That, in turn, makes us lovely. Thoughtfully Lovely. When we interact with others, we need to be thoughtful in the way that we speak and behave. Being thoughtful and kind to others, especially our own families, makes us lovely to the people around us. Thoughtfully Lovely.
Being thoughtful and intentional with every item we bring into our homes and giving thought to where we place them makes our home lovely. Thoughtfully Lovely. Having intentional purpose in the way we care for our homes makes them lovely. It lets all of the people that live there know that you love and value your home and, without saying it, love and value them. You are creating a space that is not only pleasing to the eye, but a calm and safe haven for their busy minds and lives to decompress and recharge. It makes your home Thoughtfully Lovely.
Giving thought to the choices we make when it comes to what we put into our bodies makes us lovely. Exercising to take care of the only bodies that we have been given makes us lovely. It takes a lot of self-discipline to eat right and work out, but when we are intentional it makes us thoughtfully lovely! What we choose to put on everyday matters, too. I think if we are thoughtful about what we are wearing on the outside, it makes us feel better on the inside. That also makes us thoughtfully lovely to those around us.
Challenging our minds through devotionals and being thoughtful about what we invite into our thoughts, in turn, makes us lovely. Thoughtfully Lovely. When we have a thoughtful, spiritual, centered mind and are thoughtful of all that is around us, it is evident to those we come into contact with and helps us to live the lovely life intended by our creator. Being happy, choosing joy, speaking the truth (when spoken in love) all makes us lovely. Thoughtfully Lovely.
Galatians 5:22-23 tells us, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
No one is promised tomorrow. So, let’s all be thoughtful and lovely to one another today. Thoughtfully Lovely!
