I have been dying to check this project off my list. I came up with a small bathroom design for this space that is about 9′ x 5′ (45 square feet to finish from scratch) and I can’t wait for it to be complete!
(List of sources can be found at the bottom of this post)
Bathrooms can be challenging and take a long time. Ok, it DID take me a long time. I am almost done and can’t wait to reveal it to you!
Why do I put finishing bathrooms at the bottom of my list of favorite things? Moving plumbing and all the dirty work that bathrooms involve and how messy they are to finish. You didn’t think they just came beautiful, did you??
I had a vision with this small bathroom design, but here is where I started.
I had a plumber come in, break the concrete and move all of the rough-ins the builder had put in place to match the space I designed. It took him an entire day! Once that was done, I had to backfill the gaps with pea gravel and add more concrete on top to make a level floor again.
I have been working to finish it and it really is beautiful! I added everything you see in my mood board + a few more things and I can’t wait for you to see it in real photos! It has taken me FOREVER to get it done, but I am sooooooo close, friends!
Below are the sources for the space in my mood board.
Floor tile: The sweetest, most darling floor tile you ever saw.
Shower: Classic subway tile. 700+ installed one by one (a little larger than the standard at 4×8) in the shower laid in a traditional brick pattern. If you missed it, here is my post on all things tiling.
The surprisingly affordable vanity and sink. Can you believe t’s from IKEA? Plus their darling faucet to finish it off. Pssst….it also comes in brass!
Board and batten walls with hooks for some turkish towels, a beautiful round mirror to soften all of the hard lines, shelves over the commode and some simple black and white floral prints to finish it off. So many good things in here!
Wait until you see it come to life in another post soon! I am so ready to check this off my list.
