The Princess and the Pea has got nothing on me😂 I finally finished Phase One of this bench seat makeover. Nothing like a house full of people coming in two days to light a fire under you to make things happen!! Enjoy your evening as all of your friends and family come home to celebrate Thanksgiving!!

As I sit here with my teenie tiny paint brush fixing the smallest of imperfections from painting the cabinets, I am dreaming of a different kind of creativity. I love DIY and creating something from just a dream in my head that I have sketched onto paper. But there is so much more to the creative side of me. I love to simply CREATE. I love all things home. Creating a thoughtful and lovely space that my family can sink in to when they come home from the weary world. A place where friends feel welcome and want to come back to. I love to learn new things and share them with you here. While I am loving finishing this bookcase I have been building, I can’t wait to see what I create next! I have felt the stress of that last push to finish a project. You know, like a looming deadline. Totally self imposed, but it is still so real. So I took a break from that today and finally unpacked two boxes from our move. This apothecary cabinet has been empty since we moved in. We have tried it in four different spots and it finally has found a permanent home. Need your platters or artwork to stand up on your shelves?? I wanted my silver serving platters to stand up and lean without falling down on the shelves. So I added an inexpensive piece to my shelves to make that happen over in stories today. Did you see it??
